Six months ago? Twelve months ago? Before the last major AI development that changed how your industry operates?

The Future-Fit Leader does not just plan. She thinks ahead.
She uses strategic foresight, not just forecasting. She does not only ask what is most likely to happen. She asks what could happen, what would she do if the unexpected arrived, and how does she build flexibility into her current strategy so it can survive being wrong.
She reads signals across industries. She does not limit her learning to her own sector. She watches what is shifting in adjacent fields, because disruption almost always arrives from the edges, not from within.
She builds adaptive strategies. Instead of fixed annual plans, she builds strategies with decision points built in, moments where the team pauses, reassesses, and adjusts based on what they have learned.
She uses AI to expand her horizon. She uses AI tools to analyse trends, model scenarios, and surface the weak signals that her human brain might miss in the noise of daily operations.
🤖 AI Leadership Insight
AI gives you access to more information about the present than any leader in history has ever had.
But data about the present does not tell you about the future.
Strategic Vision is the human skill of looking at what is and imagining what could be, then having the courage to lead toward it before everyone else can see it clearly.
Use AI to scan the landscape. Use your leadership to interpret what it means and decide where to go.
AI sees the signals. You decide what they are telling you.
🧘 Wellness Tip: The Weekly Horizon Practice
Once a week, for just 10 minutes, do this:
Step away from execution. Put down the to-do list. Read one article or listen to one short piece of content from completely outside your industry.
Then ask: what is shifting there that could arrive in my world? What assumption am I making about the future that I have never actually tested?
Strategic vision is not built in quarterly reviews. It is built in small, consistent moments of looking up.
